Fight Hunger with One Click from FoodLink’s Virtual Food Drive
To meet the rapidly increasing demand for food assistance, you can help fight hunger with one click from FoodLink’s Virtual Food Drive. FoodLink for Tulare County is a non-profit community benefit organization that has been providing food to needy individuals and families in Tulare County since 1978.
People need assistance for a variety of reasons including layoffs, unemployment, a family crisis and medical emergencies. FoodLink is committed to ending hunger for those in need by providing healthy food and nutritional education to the community through several local programs.
FoodLink for Tulare County encourages you to help hungry people in our community by donating through their Virtual Food Drive. Supported by Internet-based technology, their Virtual Food Drive provides the ease of donating while shopping online. You can get more meals on the tables of hungry people faster and with less expense than traditional food collection drives. Bagging, hauling boxes, scavanging through your pantry and trips to the store for nonperishables are a thing of the past. Hop online, click on the items you want to “purchase” (peanut butter, tuna, green beans, fruit cocktail, etc), check out by providing your credit card information and you’re done! It’s fun, interactive, convenient, easy and secure. You can make a one time gift or opt in to make the same gift monthly, quarterly or annually.
Virtual Food Drive donations are tax deductible, receipts are instantaneous and your contribution will provide food for needy kids, families and senior residents of Tulare County.
This weekend marks FoodLink for Tulare County‘s 3rd Annual Kentucky Derby Party at the Visalia Country Club.
