Grow Your Business Using Social Media Seminar
The effects of social media are everywhere as business owners looking to grow their operations while connecting with customers and prospects use social media to yield tangible results. The Visalia Chamber of Commerce will host a half-day seminar designed to help business professionals implement social media tools and will highlight several local social media “success stories.” Join us Thursday, November 8th, from 7:30am – 12:00pm at Brandman University’s Visalia campus (649 S. County Center Drive, Visalia, CA 93277).
The program will conclude with a “resource mixer” which will offer additional tools and resources for businesses looking to engage in social media efforts. Chamber members with a social media-related product or service are invited to be an exhibitor. Two keynote speakers will be featured as well as a panel of three local social media successes: Justin Levine (CaliforniaFitnessAcademy), Josh Jackson and Jesus Romero (Visalia Rawhide Baseball Club), and Tiffany Smith-Edmonds (Tiffany’s Luxury Medispa). Renowned social media speaker, author, and consultant, Angel Soria will act as the moderator / facilitator.
Ad Director Davis Taylor (Times-Delta Media Group) will present “How to Make YOUR Business a Social Media Success!” With decades of media and marketing experience, Davis has helped a wide range of small businesses find ways to improve their marketing efforts and increase their profits. He worked for 14 years with online/digital advertising solutions in Silicon Valley and for four years in Seattle, where Microsoft was one of his clients.
Beth Bridges, Membership Director and Chief Networking Officer for the Clovis Chamber of Commerce, will present “No Cats and Know Your Memes: Five Ways to Use Social Media to Build Your Business.” Beth has been active on multiple social media platforms and has leveraged her own personal Twitter and Facebook accounts to build up the Chamber’s profiles and now oversees more than a dozen profiles, pages and accounts.
Tickets are $30 per person for members, $40 per person for non-members, and a continental breakfast will be served. To register for this seminar or inquire about exhibitor booths, call the Chamber at 559.734.5876.
